- Textile fibres are done in three stages: first of all the fibres are spinned into yarns. Then the fibres are woven or knitted into fabrics and the last stage is made products. Cotton or linen are natural fibres which provides from plants; but wool and silk provides from animals.
- The main synthetic fibres are Viscose, Acrylic, Polyester and Nylon.
- Polyester or nylon microfibres are 60-100 times finer than a human hair and if you bend that fibres with others you can change the properties about the final product.
- There are two types of woven fabrics: Plain-weave and Twill-weave.
- There are two types of knitted fabrics: Weft-knitted and Warp-knitted.
- Non-woven fabric is made by bonding or felting.
- Modern and smart fabrics are designed to maximise characteristics.
On tuesday we worked in groups of three students in which we had an erasmus student. I worked with Duygu.
Firstly we did a brainstorming about computers and then we did a listening called "What computers do".
On the second part of the class we worked with the fotocopies about letter writing. First some students read their letter and then, in groups, we did an exercise which consists in done a leeter, booking a car for a travell.
